How to claim

The end user:
If the Stevie charger develops a fault you must first report this to your installer. They will assess the unit and try to identify whether a fault with the installation or the charger has occurred.

The installer:
The installer is to complete a full assessment of the charger and connection. If a fault is found with the charger itself by the installer they are first to notify the wholesaler they purchased the unit from and the JPL EV Limited Customer Service Team at office@steviechargers.com to see if the fault can be rectified remotely. At this point, a returns reference number will be allocated and a claim will be started.

JPL EV will then work with the installer to complete a full overview of the unit. Either remotely or in person. During the review, JPL EV Ltd will, at its sole option, provide one of the following three remedies to whatever extent it shall deem necessary to satisfy a proper claim under this warranty:

  • Elect to repair or facilitate the repair of any defective parts within a reasonable period of time, free of any charge for the necessary parts and labour to complete the repair and restore this product to its proper operating condition.
  • Replace this product with a direct replacement or with a similar product deemed by JPL EV Ltd to perform substantially the same function as the original product.
  • Issue a refund of the original purchase price less depreciation to be determined based on the age of the product at the time remedy is sought under this warranty.

If the fault cannot be rectified remotely and a return visit to the site is required and it is determined that the hardware is at fault, then JPL EV Ltd will pay the installer £75+VAT, and supply a replacement unit, to cover towards costs incurred. An Invoice is to be sent to JPL EV and this will be paid via a BACS transfer after confirmation of the case being closed.

The faulty unit will then have to be shipped back to JPL EV for investigation to help us improve future models. This product should be properly packed, preferably in the original carton. If the product is returned to JPL EV Ltd or the authorised dealer from which it was purchased, this product must be insured during shipment, with the insurance and shipping charges prepaid by the customer. If this product is returned uninsured, you assume all risks of loss or damage during shipment.

Please have the following available before notifying JPL EV of a claim:

  • The Stevie Charge Point model number (on the label underneath the front fascia)
  • Serial number (on the label underneath the front fascia)
  • Proof of ownership date
  • Contact details of the installer

Please complete the warranty claim form below if you are experiencing a fault.
